Port Modes
When first powered on or rebooted, the device starts in auto host mode. This means if a host computer is plugged in then the ports are in sync mode. If no host is present, the ports enter charge mode.
The port modes can be altered using the mode command.
Value | Parameter | Description |
|---|---|---|
o | Off | No power to the port, no charging or device attach or detection. |
c | Charge | The port will charge a device, and detect if a device is attached. The device automatically uses the highest charging current profile possible. |
b | Biased | Port is detected but no charging or syncing will take place. |
s | Sync | The port is attached to the host computer. The device may draw charging current depending on capabilities. |
